The other day I was on a commenting tour of some of my favorite blogs. I do this every week to get a little pr and possibly a little traffic and maybe a back link or two to this blog. But, mostly to leave my two cents. I am a very chatty person any way. So there is a freebie tip for you other bloggers out there.

I stopped by Nichole Deans “Online business success blog” If you don’t know who Nichole Dean, you need to check out her blog. It’s great. Here is a hint: she used to be “Jimmy D. Brown’s” affiliate manager.

Oops, I might have gave away the farm…

Any way she was asked a really good question, What is the One Quality you Must Have to Succeed in Online Business?

As I was writing a quick comment, it hit me!

What was it… no it wasn’t my wife, (he-he), it was this blog post.

Here is another tip: you can get some really good creative idea’s for articles and blog posts, just by commenting on other peoples blogs. It happens to me all the time and it can happen to you! Just leave some comments on blog topics that you like.

So, if you like the topic of this post, leave a really good comment, really, let me have it…

OK enough begging, back to the post…

If I had to narrow it down to just one quality to succeed in business online or off it would be to Focus.

However, many other things need to be in order before hand. I would focus all my endeavours like a laser focuses on cutting a diamond or like Google PPC ad’s focuses on your target market.

If you are focusing on moving your business forward I would make the toughest task my first order of business. I remember listening to Brian Tracey several years ago about “Eating that Frog”. You know what a frog looks like… don’t you? If you were to eat that frog first thing before doing anything else, eating that frog would be the worse thing that you could do the rest of the day.

Here is a strategy as a blogger you can do to help make you focus more on your blog.

Create your daily blog post first not last. For me this is my frog. Once I can get the post out of the way then my day seems to go a whole lot better.

Stick to a daily traffic schedule that works. Here is how mine may look.

Monday: Write 5 articles for article marketing purposes.

Tuesday: Edit 5 articles and submit them to article directories. Research blog post topics

Wednesday: Start commenting on four blogs. Every day the rest of the week.

Thursday: Write blog post and schedule them through the week. By writing a weeks worth of blog post in a day will allow you to focus more time doing other thing.

Friday: This is the day that I catch up on other task. You decide what you want to do here and the remainder of the week end.

That’s it, except for one more tip that I learned from Jimmy D. Brown.

Don’t check your email until your daily business task have been completed. Also try not to purchase any products until Friday.

What is the One Quality you Must Have to Succeed in Online Business? Comment.

10 Tips for Becoming a Top Blogger

Imagine if you developed one of the most popular blogs in your niche. Think of how much money you could make selling your own products or affiliate programs…

Now imagine how big and responsive your list would be. And when you were ready to exit the business, just think how much money you’d make Flipping your corner of the web that You created.

All of this is within your grasp … Right Now! Especially if you follow these 10 tips for becoming a Top blogger…

      1. Survey your readers to find out what they want.

Adding a poll or short survey to your blog not only makes your blog interactive (which is a good thing), it also gives you an idea of what kind of content and solutions your readers are looking for.

    2. Give your readers info that they’d gladly pay for.

Just because your blog is free doesn’t mean you should post content that’s cheap and worthless. On the contrary, you should post valuable content – the kind of solutions your market is already paying for – on your blog. That way you can build trust and establish yourself as an expert in your niche.

     3. Write about hot or controversial topics to spur discussion.

When there’s a controversy going on in your niche, decide which side you’re leaning towards and blog about it. Push a few emotional buttons. Then create a call to action at the end of your post where you specifically ask your readers for their opinions and feedback. The more emotionally charged the post, the more likely it is that you’ll get comments.

4. Join the blogosphere discussions.

Your blog is not an island. Start visiting other blogs in your niche and join the community discussions. You can comment directly on their blogs. Or better yet, write a response on your blog using a trackback link.

5. Optimize your posts for the search engines.

You don’t have to optimize every post you make. But if you make a point to optimize at least one post per week, you’ll see a steady increase in traffic.

Tip: Use a tool like WordTracker.com to uncover your niche keywords. Choose words that have low competition. Then include your keywords two or three times for every 100 words of content.

6. Arouse curiosity with password-protected posts.

Your visitors can see that your blog has a lot of good content. But then they notice that you lock up your best content behind password protected posts (with the passwords only being available to your subscribers). You can bet curiosity will get the best of many of your readers… and they’ll subscribe.

7. Learn to create killer headlines.

People will decide whether to read your post based on your headline. As such, use headlines that include power words like “how to”, “amazing”, “secrets” and “discover”.

8. Vary your posting style (some long, some short, etc).

Don’t always post a 400 word “how to” article. Instead, mix things up by posting articles of different lengths and different styles.

9. Interact with your readers by answering their comments.

Your comment section isn’t just a place for your readers to talk amongst themselves – it’s also a great place for you to interact with your readers. In fact, if you’re not responding to comments on your blog, you’re missing out a huge opportunity. Since people buy from those they know, like and trust, this simple act of interacting will grow your income.

Make blogging a part of your daily routine.

Add “write a blog post” to each and every daily to-do list until it becomes a habit. If you write just one short blog post per day, in a year you’ll have 365 blog posts – and a whole lot more readers, subscribers and income!

In sum: Creating a big, popular blog isn’t a matter of doing one thing. Instead, you can create a better blog (and become a better blogger) by consistently taking a series of smaller steps.

For the first time last night, I was checking stats and decided to find out what the page rank for this site was. To my amazement 2ultra.com was at a pr1. This blog has only been up for six weeks and it is already at a pr level.

Well I guess PR#1 is better than PR#0

So,now it is time to kick this Blog up a few notches and see if I can’t get it to PR#4 by this Summer. I will keep you informed.

Check out what John Chow had to say about his new ranking

I would have placed a comment on his blog about this … but I couldn’t find the comment box. John fix this, you may be losing a lot of comments because of the hidden box. Although 118 had found the box why didn’t I find it?

What do you think?

What is your page Rank? Leave a comment… the box is easy to find here.

If your thinking about launching your new blog soon then this little article "3 preperation keys to think about before launching your new blog" should shed some light on what you are really about to get yourself into.

So you want to start a blog? Who doesn’t. Millions of people and businesses are now blogging. Technocrati is a search engine for blogs that is tracking over 50 million blogs in the blogoshere today and those numbers I just guessed at. I don’t even know if that is even close.

Quickly there are three key elements that you need to think about before ever starting a blog and here they are:

Key #1. Find your niche. It’s OK, if you don’t have a niche at first. Especially if you plan on having a personal dairy blog. However, if you are planning on blogging for dollars then you really need to figure out what niche you are going to create content for. Then ask yourself this question: “Am I prepared to spend the next three or six months creating content, managing and marketing my blog for free? Three to six months is the normal time period for most blogs before they start having enough traffic and earnings. Let me make a correction, you will never have enough traffic to your site.

2. Which blogging platform do you prefer? I prefer wordpress blogs over blog spot.com. Word press gives me more freedom than blog spot. Plugins galore and a whole lot more. Word press is actually an open source program unlike blog spot or some of the other blogging programs out there. I have only used word press and blog spot so , I can’t ethically make any judgements for type pad or any of the others. My recommendation is on word press.

3. Creating content. this means you will have to either write a lot like I do, use audio such as an audio blog (which I am going to do) or video which is extremely popular and will probably kick up your search engine ranking a little bit higher than just plain written content. For this reason alone, you want to choose a niche or sub niche that you will feel comfortable creating a lot of content for. You should post new content at least three times a week and at a set time. With a word press blog you can set your content to publish automatically at a given date and time. I set this blog to publish at 5Am in the morning thee times a week.

Starting a blog can easy enough, but keeping a blog interesting, fresh and relevant is a whole diffrent game.
Many bloggers have no trouble starting there blog. The sheer number of abandoned blogs around the blogosphere speaks to the fact that many bloggers don’t know how to do to keep there blog interesting and ever green. This is due to a loss of interest, passion and motivation.

Within this short article I will show you 5 keys to churn up your ‘Bloggin’ Idea factory and keep the content flowing.

The nuber one key to keeping a blog going is to post frequently. This means that you’re going to need an ever present stream of ever green content coming into your blog. You may be intimidated by the thought of having to come up with lots of topic ideas. Finding topics for your blog posts are easy if you use the following formula.

Key #1. CAPTIONS.
Your blog should be timely and there’s no better way to attract attention on your blog than to tap into some ongoing news. No matter what your niche is you can find news stories and breaking information that will help fuel timely blog posts. Look for captions, or headlines, to stay on top of things. Sign up for Google Alerts (it’s free) and set up alerts on important words in your niche. This way you’ll be able to see the news in your niche and blog about current topics.

Key #2. COMMENTS.
The comments section in your blog can be a great source of writing inspiration. Let’s say you have a post on your blog about keyword research. Within the comments section, a few people start asking about how to use keywords in articles for article marketing. Voila! You have your next blog post. Look through your comments section to identify topics that you can write about or questions you can answer in the form of a blog post. You could also use this methode on other blogs, forums and from your email. All you have to do is a little digging.

key #3. COMPANIONS.
Are there some websites or other resources that your niche needs to know about? Write a few resource list posts. Resource lists posts are very easy to write and they provide maximum value to your readers because they can get the information that they need easily. When you can’t think of anything else to write about you can pull together a helpful list for your readers. I used this methode for 80+ tips, Tricks and Secrets to ad copy greatness. It work great.

Key #4. COMMUNITY.
Keep your finger on the pulse of your niche. Watch other blogs in your niche and see what they are writing about. You can take a different angle on the same topic, or cover an area of the topic that the original author missed. If you disagree with the author, feel free to go ahead and express you opinion on your blog. Other bloggers can be a great source of information so be sure to get involved in the community.

key #5. COLLECTION.
Start collecting a list of quick tips you’d like to share with your niche. These can be inspired by your personal experience or from other blog posts you’ve read or from other products in your niche. When you find yourself stuck for blog post ideas, you can write a quick tips post.

These 5 keys just scratch the surface of where you can find and churn out ideas for blog posts to populate your blog. Start keeping a notepad file with blog post ideas and you’ll never be at a loss for material.

Tell me what your favorite strategy is to churn up your blogg’in idea factory…
